WHEN I WAS YOUNG
When I was young
I thought life was simple
I thought friends were loyal
I thought the house I drew
In colors was cheap
When I was young
I thought the heart with the red arrow was love
I thought that the biggest pain
Was the prick of the doctor’s needle
I thought that the worst thing I can lose
Was one of my teeth
When I was young
I thought the wealth is having
Enough money to buy a piece of candy
I thought that all love stories
Have happy endings
And that growing up
I’ll be happier
Yet growing up
It took me lots of blows
To understand that life is complicated
And that solving those knots
Requires a wise and conscious mind
Growing up
It took me a lot of time, patience
And constant work on myself
To know how to finally create
My own peace of mind … and happiness
